Not many automakers can still boast about a model after 15 years, but Nissan is still raving about the Altima and customers of a Palm Beach Gardens Nissan Altima are still pleased as well. This practical, five-passenger family sedan is known for its easy handling and solid performance.
The fourth generation Altima debuted in 2007 and is still selling well, as it has been kept fresh with technological features. With an optional V6 it has the sportiest handling of probably any family sedan in its class and an interior that is roomy and comfortable. The coupe model has an appeal to a younger crowd, but offers the same stability and comfort.
The Altima has come up in the auto world in the last couple of decades, providing the luxury and power once associated only with the Nissan Maxima sedan. With a 2.5-liter engine base or the optional 3.5-liter V6 it is available in six-speed manual or continuously variable automatic, the latter of which is highly recommended.
Northlake Nissan Altima buyers are among those who have provided good reviews and high praise for the way the current Altima handles. The CVT Altima V6 has been clocked at zero to 60 in 6.6 seconds, which is quite remarkable for a family sedan and nice to know even if you’re not buying the car for speed.
The length of the Altima has been shortened by two inches from the last model and this means less legroom all around, but there is still plenty of room in the sedan for four adults to ride comfortably. The rest of the interior, though, is an improvement over previous generations and its layout and quality of material are a good as any car in its class.
The price point certainly comes into play, as the least expensive Altima is slightly under $20,000 by the time you add in a V6 and all those irresistible options you could be over $30,000. It’s still competitive in its class on price, but just barely on the upper end.
What is likely to draw new customers is the same thing that keeps the current ones coming back – a quality vehicle from a dependable automaker. Nissan has developed major customer loyalty over the last two decades and that’s not likely to change, as Palm Beach Garden Nissan Altima buyers will tell you.
As far as the driving experience the Altima coupe and sedan are very similar, but the coupe’s suspension is a bit sportier allowing for more aggressive turning. Because of its exterior styling with a sleeker roofline the coupe also has less headroom. But Northlake Nissan Altima buyers may overlook that once they get behind the wheel and experience the Altima coupe, which handles like a dream.
